Rusty Patched Bumblebee Tee

The Rusty Patched Bumblebee was once found across 28 US states and 2 Canadian provinces. This essential pollinator can now only be found in 13 states and 1 province. Bumblebees are almost entirely responsible for the pollination of blueberries, cranberries and tomatoes. They are more efficient than honey bees and have an estimated economic value of about 3 billion dollars per year in US agriculture. This bee is declining largely due to habitat loss and the use of pesticides.

This Rusty Patched Bumblee t shirt has a splatter over it that represents the bees historic (black splatter) and current (green splatter) range as a population map to serve as a reminder of the decline of this helpful insect and inspire conservation. $1 from each purchase will be donated to the Defenders of Wildlife, an organization dedicated to the protection of all native animals and plants in their natural communities.
